SaaS, "Software as a service"
How does anyone read "software as a service" and not immediately think "grift"? If you ask anybody they would prefer to buy software once and own it in perpetuity, rather than paying expensive recurring subscriptions that keep your software stuck on the cloud. SaaS strikes me as a raw deal, something solely to the benefit of software companies that screws over their users.
